Daily Gratitude

When we express thanks throughout the day it makes a huge difference in our attitudes, thus making us mentally and emotionally healthier.
Being thankful for a good parking spot, hitting all the green lights are small examples of the things we can show gratitude for each day.
When we start with the small and simple things, it is much easier to be thankful for the larger things that come into our lives.
This gives us appreciation for everything around us - people and things.
It releases a calm inside of us and helps with the stress we all feel.
Another way is to show our family and friends how much we love and appreciate them each day - not just on special occasions.
A quick "love you" "good job' have a great day' or whatever is appropriate means volumes to others and will come back to us.
This sounds so simple but will make a difference.
When we are grateful for our blessings, then when difficult things come into our lives, they won't seem as large.
Gratitude changes our thoughts and our actions.
Try it for one week and see if it doesn't make a difference.
Gratitude is a learned behavior.
It does not come naturally to most people.
"Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
" 1 Thessalonians 5:18The reason He gave this scripture to us is because He knew how important this was to our mental health, reduced stress, and appreciation to those we love and to those with whom we come into contact with.
Also, for the blessings that we encounter each day.
