How to Mount Prince Hydraulic Valves

    • 1). Shut the power off in the equipment where you are installing the valves. Secure the equipment with blocks or whatever is necessary to prevent the equipment from moving.

    • 2). Trace the bottom mounting area and bolt holes of the Prince valve bank onto a piece of cardboard. Use a leather punch to poke holes into the cardboard template. Leave the cardboard template larger than the actual hydraulic valve.

    • 3). Place the cardboard template in areas around the equipment to find a logical and practical placement site. Once you find an area, mark holes on the cardboard template you can use to mount the plate in or on the equipment. Use more cardboard to mock up any external welds on mounts you may desire.

    • 4). Construct a steel plate that matches the cardboard template of the Prince hydraulic valve bank. Be sure to drill the holes with a drill bit that matches the bolt size you're using to bolt the valve or valve bank to the plate. Weld on any extra template mounts as needed to add function or strength.

    • 5). Place the fabricated valve mount in the desired area and secure with bolts. Bolt the Prince valve bank to the fabricate mounting plate. Thread the in-line and out-line hydraulic hoses to the mounted valves. Tighten the hoses to the valves with the proper size wrenches.
