- 1). Visit a website that will allow you to use their telephony software to place free telephone calls from your PC. An example of some of the telephony service providers you can use are MediaRing Talk, VOIP Cheap, MobiVox, EvaPhone, JaJah, and GizmoProject (no endorsements).
Some of the telephony providers will allow you unlimited free calling to mobile phones, while others will place limitations on the amount of free calls that can be made. - 2). Sign up for a "New User" account from the provider of your choice.
- 3). Download and install the telephony software onto your computer. Some sites, such as EvaPhone don't require a download.
- 4). Open the telephony software program on your computer.
- 5). Enter the mobile number you would like to dial. Press the "Send" or "Call" button to initiate the telephone call. Exact wording will vary.
