Lots of times times people are moving and will list a variety of good quality furniture that they need to get rid of.

Most cities will have a local Freecycle group.
This is a group that will let people recycle their products with other people in the group who needs it.
If you want to get rid of something, you give it to someone in the group.
If you need something like furniture, you might be able to pick up items this way for free.
Check apartment complex dumpsters at the end of the month or the end of the school semester.
Many times people move out and don't take everything with them.
You will not only have a chance of finding free furniture but can also pick up appliances as well that you might not have already.
For certain items, think of going without.
You are already living in a small space since you are in an apartment and just might not need every piece of furniture that you think you might need.
