Chittagong is a major tourist destination situated in Bangladesh. It is the main seaport and also the second largest city in the country. It is a major commercial and industrial hub. The city combines the busy hum of an active seaport with the shooting quiet of a charming hill town. Chittagong is also known of the town of Aulias (Muslim saints).
Its green hills and forests, its broad sandy beaches and its fine cool climate always attract the tourists. The best time to visit the city of Chittagong is the cold season that is  from September to March. The city has some of the amazing sites to see:
Zia Memorial Museum: It was earlier known as The Circuit House where the former President of Bangladesh Zia-ur Rahman and one of the architects of the liberation war was killed by a group of annoyed army personnel. In this museum you can see late president Zia-ur Rahman's daily usage materials.
Ethnological Museum: This museum is located in Agrabad. It is fortune house of a variety of tribal culture and inheritance of Bangladesh.
Foy's Lake: The lake is a natural beauty of Chittagong, where one can enjoy boating and also can spend  leisure time in a serene atmosphere of lake and hills.
Patenga and Fouzdarhat Sea Beaches: Patenga beach is about 22 km. from Chittagong and is amicable by a motorable road. Another ideal picnic spot is the Fouzdarhat sea-beach about 16 km. from Chittagong.
Some of the other sites include: Court Building Museum, War Cemetery, Shrine of Shah Amanat, ort Area, Shrine of Hazrat Bayezead Bostami etc.
The people of Chittagong love oily and spicy food. Western food is available in all major hotels and most of the big restaurants in import cities. But local dishes are normally far better and more exotic. Seafood and sweet-water fish are available in most of the towns.
