How to Make Earrings With Flexible Wire
- 1). Cut two pieces of 28 gauge artist wire to a length of 8 inches each. Fold each piece of wire in half and thread one wire end through the hole of a top drilled bead. Position the bead at the bend in the center of the wire.
- 2). Thread both wire ends through three to five beads, making sure you have a matching set of beads for the other earring. Push the beads down the folded wire until they sit right above the top drilled bead. Repeat with the other earring.
- 3). Hold the wire tips between your thumb and forefinger while twisting the beaded portion with your other hand. Continue until the remaining lengths of wire are twisted together into one.
- 4). Bend the twisted wire to a near 90-degree angle above the top bead. Grip the bend with your round nose pliers and wrap the twisted wire around the plier tips to form a loop.
- 5). Center the loop above the beads and hold in place with your chain nose pliers. Wrap the remaining length of twisted wire around the base of the loop.
- 6). Hold an ear wire in one hand while twisting the loop at the bottom open with your round nose pliers. Attach the loop on the beaded wire to the ear wire and close the ear wire loop. Repeat Steps 2 to 6 for the other earring.
