Video: How to Make a Shimmery Picture for a Toddler
Video Transcript
Hi, my name is Laura. I'm an artist, and I am going to show you how to make a shimmery picture for a toddler. What I'm going to use is colored pencil, glue, and some glitter and a paint brush. So I found a shimmery metallic gold pencil and I'm gonna do a flower cause kids like flowers, right. So I'm gonna start with the inside and do my pencil first because I am going to do my petals and my stem in glitter. Alright, so first I'll draw my golden center for my flower and then I'm gonna have to do this step-by-step so that, so that the colors don't run together. I want the green to stay for the stem and leaves and the pink to be for the flower. So I'm gonna start with the stem because it's a smaller area and seems like less, less area to mess up and get confused so I'm gonna paint my stem in glue and paint my leaf and then I'm going to pour my first coat of glitter on. Alright, so you can pour liberally and then sort of shake it around so that it falls into place. Alright, and then wipe it off. Alright, and now I'm going to paint my petals now that the area seems pretty stable and hopefully by the time we're done with the petals that part will have dried anyway. So I think we should only do like a couple petals or few petals at a time so that those don't actually dry out before we get glitter stuck on them. Then we're gonna shake the pink glitter around and then finish the flower. Alright, now that I'm done painting I will put more pink glitter on, pick up the page and shake it around and that is how you make a shimmery picture for toddlers. I'm Laura, thank you for watching.
