  Chicago's hundreds of restaurants are not all suited for family dining, but a few key places make a meal in the Windy City something that parents and kids alike will enjoy. Kitsch'n

• Strollers are everywhere and family outings are regular events in the north side area of Roscoe Village. The neighborhood favorite for lunch is Kitsch'n on Roscoe. It's a smaller restaurant, but no reservations are necessary and the food is prepared quickly. Comfort food such as hamburgers, curly fries, mac and cheese and ribs are popular menu items. The kids menu offers dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets.

Parthenon

• The Parthenon is a staple among the many choices in the Greek Town neighborhood. Parthenon's massive dining space makes the environment fun for families. All over the restaurant, waiters set saganaki (cheese plates) on fire and yell "Oh-pah!" It's always safe, and kids love feeling the heat of the flames. Valet service is free.

Leona's

• With locations throughout the city, Leona's is one of Chicago's most popular Italian restaurants for families. Large pasta dishes, deep dish pizza and kids menus are all offered. The menu is enormous, about 20 pages long. Almost any kind of food is served, and kids enjoy the illustrations in the menu and eccentric decorations.
