Minnesota Indoor Water Park Hotels
- Bordering a large portion of Lake Superior, Minnesota hosts a wide variety of outdoor watersports, from laidback options, like boating and fishing, to more extreme alternatives, like wakeboarding and windsurfing. However, there are also a surprising number of opportunities for indoor water activity in Minnesota. The many indoor waterpark hotels throughout the state provide lodging and year-round wet-and-wild fun.
- Located in the city of Duluth, along the edge of Lake Superior, Edgewater Resort & Waterpark contains a 300-room hotel and 35,000 square-foot, island-themed indoor waterpark, all in one. The waterpark features a 400-foot lazy river, vortex pool, two kid play areas and two 4 1/2-story waterslides. In addition, the waterpark area houses a 2,000 square-foot arcade. The hotel at Edgewater offers three room styles with views of Lake Superior and one with park views. All rooms come with refrigerators, high-speed Internet access and cable TVs with HBO; all lake-view rooms have patios or balconies. In addition to the waterpark, the hotel features an exercise facility and playground. As of 2010, room rates start at $129 per night; waterpark admission is included with room.
