How to Print Screens From PanelView Components
- 1). Click or tap on the "Start" button in your PanelView's task bar. Select the "All Programs" option from the "Start" menu, highlight the "Microsoft Windows CE 5.0" heading and then click on the "Windows CE 5.0 Test Kit" option to launch the CETK toolkit.
- 2). Select the "Start Client" option from the toolkit's "Connection" menu. Check the "Use Windows Sockets for the client/server communication" box. Click "OK."
- 3). Click "Connect" in the dialog box that appears and then select your PanelView from the list of target devices. Click "OK" to install the CETK toolkit to your PanelView's Windows CE operating system.
- 4). Select the "Run" option from the "Start" menu and type "CMD" into the Run box. Select the "OK" option to launch the Command Prompt window.
- 5). Type "Prt_scrn [–d NUM] [-s Num1 Num2] [–e Num1 Num2] Filename" into the Command Prompt window. Substitute the "NUM" in the "[–d NUM]" portion of the command with the amount of seconds you'd like to delay "Print Screen" before capturing your screen shot.
- 6). Substitute the "Num1" and "Num2" characters of the "[-s Num1 Num2]" portion of the command with the the 0's to capture the top left corner of your screen. Replace the "[–e Num1 Num2]" values with the that of the lower-right pixels of the screen type in your display's maximum resolution. For example, 1200-by-800 resolution would be entered as "[–e 1200 800]."
- 7). Replace the "Filename" portion of the command with a name for your screen shot and a directory location. For example, you type "Desktop\Screenshots\TestImage.BMP" to name your file "TestImage" and save it to your desktop the "Screenshots" folder on your desktop. Ensure that you add ".bmp" to the end of the file name to save your screen shot as a bitmap image.
- 8). Press the "Enter" key on your keyboard to initiate the "Print Screen" command and then close the Command Prompt window. Print screen will initiate after the type you specified in the command and will appear in the specified directory.
