How to Make a Chinese Firecracker Decoration
- 1). Cover an empty toilet paper roll with glue. Wrap the roll with one piece of red construction paper. Cut the excess paper off the ends of the roll with scissors. Repeat for the remaining three rolls.
- 2). Draw Chinese symbols or other decorations on the rolls with a pencil.
- 3). Paint over the symbols and other images with black paint. Set the rolls aside to allow the paint to dry.
- 4). Add further embellishments to the rolls with gold glitter glue, such as dots or squiggle lines. Set the rolls aside to allow the glitter glue to dry.
- 5). Punch a hole in the top of each roll. Cut four lengths of yarn and string one length of yarn through each hole on each roll. Tie a knot at the end of the yarn to prevent it from falling through the holes.
- 6). Punch a hole in the bottom of three of the rolls. String the opposite end of the yarn through the holes on the bottom of the rolls and tie a knot in the yarn to prevent it from falling through the holes. The rolls should be connected in a straight line.
- 7). Tie a loop in the yarn that is connected to the top roll. Use the loop to display the completed decoration.
