You can't miss Abraham Benrubi. A giant hulking brute of a sweetheart, he's stood out in supporting roles from TV's ER to movies like The Program and Open Range. Die hard fans always remember him as Kubiak on Parker Lewis Can't Lose, but he's only really gotten a meaty role this year on TV's Men in Trees. The movie career continues though, and at least it sounds funny, if not a real stretch for Abe.

As great a character as Kubiak was, has it been a real fight to get really juicy roles?
?You know, what's funny about it is that I really just want to be the monster. It's funny because I just really want to be a pirate and a monster and a wizard and that sort of thing. I keep finding myself as sort of these average joes and now leading man, which is totally unexpected but super fun and a real challenge for me because I'm sort of like the big ogre. I never expected to be kissing girls on TV.?

Wouldn't it be easy to go to a casting agent and ask for a bad guy?
?It never works that way. I guess it's the grass is only greener kind of theory. I don't even really get to audition for those kinds of parts. It's always little guys that get those parts so they can get in the makeup and not sweat it all off.?

You're in TV: The Movie?
?Yeah.?

How many skits feature you?
?I'm in two skits in TV: The Movie and they are absolutely offensive and hysterical and crass. I'm surrounded by midgets in blackface and it's just really fun.?

Are you a monster?
?No monster in that, no, no. But it's fun.?

Are both skits on midgets in blackface?
[Laughs] ?All the skits, all the skits. No, the main one that I'm in is midgets in blackface, and then the other one I'm a voice over for the big, bad party guy in a box.?

What is a guy like you doing surrounded by midgets in blackface?
?That is a skit called Trading Races, which is a spoof on a reality show. You can sort of get the gist from the name.?

Are the Jackass guys in your skits?
?Yes. I think Wee Man's in my skit and maybe Steve-O. I think just Wee Man, actually.?
