How to Create Your Own Cake Transfer
- 1). Set the drawing on a flat worksurface with the clean pane of glass over top of it. Place the wax paper on top of it and trim it to the same size of the glass. Tape it down
- 2). Draw the image printed on the paper on to the wax paper using the pen.
- 3). Fill in the outlines made with the black with the other colors, in the desired colors, beginning with the smallest details, increasing in size as you continue.
- 4). Lift the glass and paper above you, with a light directly over it. Check the icing for bubbles or any other abnormalities -- pop any bubbles you see.
- 5). Insert the glass on to a flat surface in a freezer. Chill the icing until it is completely hard, usually around 30 minutes.
- 6). Remove the transfer, cut the tape so the wax paper can be easily removed. Place the transfer on to the cake, icing side down, and remove the glass.
- 7). Remove the wax paper from the transfer, peeling it off gently and placing aside.
