Visiting Disneyland Paris with young Children
The Disney parks are well known for their top rides like Big Thunder Mountain, Tower of Terror and Space Mountain, but these can sometimes be daunting for younger visitors. There are a number of areas and rides to visit that are a bit more gentle in nature and would be more suitable: Frontier Land, Fantasy Land, €It's a small world' and Flying carpets over Agrabah are all ideal for younger visitors.
Food can be a big issue when visiting theme parks like Disneyland Paris. Adults can usually think to themselves that they will wait till after the rush hours to eat but children don't think this way. It is often hard to find somewhere to eat during lunch times so it is a good idea to book one of the family restaurants in advance. You won't have to fight for a place and you can relax knowing you have a table booked for a certain time. Cafe Mickey is a great place to eat at, as the kids can have a fun meal while meeting all their favourite Disney characters.
Queuing can be frustrating at the best of times, but when you have the little ones with you it can be hard to keep them entertained during the queues that are likely to occur at popular rides. One way to avoid this is to purchase a FastPass, which allows you to join much shorter queues and get on the rides much quicker.
It might seem like some obvious advice for theme parks, but ideally if you can visit out of school holidays and public holidays, you will find the park a lot quieter and easier to manage.
When heading to the park with a baby, many parents get into situations where they have to take it in turns going on rides, which usually means one parent doesn't always get to go on the best rides, as it requires queuing up again. Disney have thought of this and have a baby switch service which allows one parent to ride first while the other looks after the baby, then they can swap over without having to re-queue.
There are a number of online ticket websites that have special offers and discounted tickets for all the Disney theme parks. Before booking, make sure you do some research to see who is doing the best offers, giving you and your family the best Disney holiday money can afford.
