How to Gain Self Confidence and Break Free
One of my key stages of self improvement is building self confidence.
Self confidence is critical to any improvements you make to your person because it is what allows you to actually make those improvement work.
Therefore, it is only natural that we all learn the best ways of how to gain self confidence and break free.
By break free I mean free to live our lives.
Without self confidence, our lives often get placed on hold due to barriers that we set up for ourselves.
These barriers protect us from the harms of life, but they also prevent us from the great things in life.
Mental barriers keep us from experiencing life for all of its great potential.
These barriers are unnatural.
They actually mess with the laws of nature.
Therefore, these barriers must be broken so that we can live the way we were meant to live.
So how do we do this? We must take baby steps.
We must discover all the barriers we have set up in our mind and develop a plan to break them down, one at a time.
Start with some easy barriers.
What are some things you know you need to do but feel slightly uncomfortable doing? These are things that you shouldn't have much trouble overcoming, and you know you are going to get around to doing them eventually anyway.
Take care of them now.
They are taking up mental space that needs to be cleared so that you can better enjoy life.
Each barrier holds a special place in your brain.
This special place is a vast, valuable piece of real estate.
By allowing fear or uncertainty to take up this space, you are limiting your potential for things like enjoyment, self esteem, and self confidence.
Once you have freed up some space in your mind by eliminating the small barriers, you can insert some self confidence.
This confidence is a natural byproduct of overcoming the barriers.
This confidence will now help you break down your next series of barriers which are likely to be bigger.
It really comes down to two things: consistency and momentum.
Once you get the ball rolling and clear out the negative clutter in your brain, you can use the momentum you build in the form of self confidence you keep it rolling.
With each barrier you break down you will pick up speed, so long as you remain consistent.
Once the ball stops rolling, it becomes more difficult to start it up again.
Breaking the barriers you set up in your brain that protect you from failure, rejection, embarrassment, etc will free up space for more valuable assets.
Gaining self confidence is often just a matter of finding a spot for it amidst all the clutter in your mind.
