Using Home Solar Energy Systems

There are two types of solar energy coming from the sun- thermal and electric energy.

Thermal (heat – such as when you boil water) energy heats our planet, our bodies and our homes. Electricity is produced by turning the sunlight into usable electricity to power our iPads. The technology is rather simple and inexpensive.  The Sun's Rays are a completely renewable source, and has been around longer than the earth itself, so no worries of us depleting the suns energy.  We can pretty much (guarantee) rely on "the sun will come

out tomorrow".  Even through nighttime, rainy or cloudy days, the sun will return.  Solar energy is clean energy which is the greatest advantage to finally relieve the additional stress we have placed on the earth.

Finally we can be rid of oil burning green house gases, such as carbon dioxide.

Very little maintenance is required to keep solar cells running. There are no moving parts in a solar cell, which makes it impossible to really hurt them. Solar cells tend to last a good long time with only an annual cleaning to worry about.

Solar panels are easy to maintain as well the length of time the solar panels will last. No moving parts, which reduce the risk of damage. And the cleaning can be done with simple rain water.

Oil reserves have been on the decline for years, and fluctuating gas prices have left many broke at the pump, now is the time for alternative energy. The technology is here now, and we can begin to reduce our energy cost on our wallets as well as the environment.

Living in heavy pollution areas can damage your solar panels. The photovoltaic cells can degrade the efficiency. The same works for clouds also because they can hide the suns rays.

This is really not an issue anymore, because the new technology has made the solar panel much better at capturing the suns rays, even on cloudy days and heavy pollution. The cost has also been greatly reduced for the initial investment.

The equipment such as the solar panels are now able to be assembled easily, and cost can greatly be lower than long term electric bills. There are long term benefits as well as short term benefits to using the sun as our power source.  The technology is available and simple and inexpensive to install.

We have to implement the system at a home, community, national then global level.

The Planet and our Future Children are depending on us.
