Panda Bear Crafts for Toddlers
- Make a simple panda face with a paper plate. Cut out ears and circles for the eyes out of black construction paper and give two of each to each student. Also provide each student with a glue stick, black pom pom, two wiggly eyes and a white paper plate. Have the children glue the black circles on the plate where the eyes will go, then glue the wiggly eyes on top of the black circles. Show students how to glue the ears on the top of the plate and the black pom pom on the bottom to make the panda's nose.
- Use cotton balls to make a fuzzy panda craft. Cut a large circle from black paper and give one to each student. Give students two wiggly eyes, and show them how to attach them to the circle to make the panda's face. Give students cotton balls, and encourage them to glue the cotton balls to the circle, leaving room around the wiggly eyes to create black rings around the eyes. Attach a pink pom pom nose if desired. Next, cut ear shapes from black paper, and show students how to attach these to the top of the bear face with glue.
- Make a panda with circles. Cut large circles from white card stock, and give two to each student. Cut medium-sized and small circles from black paper; give students four medium circles and four small circles. Ask students to glue the two large white circles together, one on top of the other. The top circle will create the face of the panda. Encourage students to glue two small circles to the top of the head to make ears, and the other two circles to the face of the panda to make eyes. Next, glue the four medium-sized black circles onto the bottom of the panda to make front and back paws. Let students use markers to add a nose and mouth to their panda.
- Make a panda face using tissue paper. Cut a circle from white card stock and circles from black paper to make ears. Show students how to tear tissue paper into pieces and roll it between their fingers to make it look like fur. Invite students to tear tissue, roll it and glue it to the panda face. Encourage students to use black tissue paper around the eyes and nose of the panda, and white on the other parts of the panda face.
