That has catapulted coffee makers into popularity.
Instead of just buying coffee from the café, you can now make it in your home using this machine.
However, it also needs maintenance and that means cleaning it every week.
Here are some tips on how to make your coffee machine spick and span: Tip 1: Use the vinegar method The vinegar trick always works in removing all sorts of impurities inside the brewer such as mold, mildew, lime deposits and coffee oil residues.
Fill up the water tank with one part of water and one part of vinegar.
Put all the necessary things when you are brewing such as the water filter, coffee filter and coffee basket.
When the parts are all ready, you can now hit the brew button to start brewing.
Technically you are brewing the vinegar solution.
This will pass through the valve and the coffee basket and then remove the molds that may have accumulated inside.
It will brew straight to the carafe.
Just remove the contents of the carafe after the brewing cycle has finished.
Tip 2: Baking soda for stains For the coffee stains that are difficult to remove, you can try baking soda.
This works well especially if you are using a white coffee brewer.
Just dissolve baking soda in lukewarm water.
Afterwards, get a clean towel and dip it in this solution.
Wring out some of the excess water and wipe the outer shell of the machine.
It will remove the stains effectively.
Tip 3: Ice and Salt If you have a hard time removing the coffee oil residues inside the carafe you can try ice and salt.
Crush ice and then place it inside the carafe.
Put table salt and then give it a bit of mix.
Swirl the solution inside the carafe.
Make sure all parts are covered.
Remove the contents and then rinse it in soapy water.
Wipe it clean using a towel.
Now the carafe is squeaky clean.
These are the cleaning tips you need to use when your coffee maker is in dire need of cleaning.
Thoroughly cleaning your brewer will give you constant coffee flavour.
Your brewer will surely stay in top functioning if you take care of it well.
