The effect of snoring on relationships can be very devastating.
It may cause resentment from both parties.
Usually, bedtime is the time where partners can have some time to communicate with the other on the day's events or just general conversation.
A lot of times, the person doing the snoring doesn't take the partner's complaints seriously and this can lead to more frustration.
If your partner snored once in a while, it would not appear to be a big deal, but if your partner snored on a daily basis, this is something that can not be ignored.
Your snoring partner will make you have many sleepless nights and this leads to you being tired, irritable and unable to function in your job.
This will entail arguments with you and your partner and as a result, could end up in separation, or even divorce.
There are ways the snoring partner can get help if he or she wants to maintain a relationship with you.
It is up to them to admit that they have a problem and are willing to attempt to rectify the problem.
Over a period of time, this irritability and stress can lead to illnesses of a physical nature.
The snorer's partner experiences such a deprivation of sleep on a daily basis that their life is really affected and in the long run, makes misery for both of them.
A lot of people that snore have sleep apnea, which means that they wake up several times during the night.
While snoring, they tend to stop breathing and this could prove to be deadly if they don't get treated for it.
This makes them depressed and exhausted and could upset their sex lives.
There are some ways for the snoring partner to alleviate their snoring.
They can sleep on their side or stomach instead of their backs.
Also, sleeping on two pillows instead of one would be helpful.
The snoring partner can also change their eating habits.
If they tend to eat a lot or if they are overweight, this causes them to snore more.
Exercise is good also, as it tends to decrease the snoring, or it could eliminate it all together.
Some throat sprays and nasal sprays can be useful because they can help with the air flow which in turn, lessens the snoring.
Both partners will experience a lack of closeness if the snoring partner continues snoring.
It is important that this be taken seriously in order for both partners to have a happy and healthy relationship.
