    • 1). Find a solid surface to use your Step Workout System. Because the stepping system works as a stationary stair-stepper, you need a flat surface. Although a carpet floor can work, hardwood or concrete is more stable and less likely to cause the Step Workout System to tip over.

    • 2). Turn the stepping board upside down. On either side, you can snap on raisers (included in the Step Workout System). The raisers fit into the stepping board like LEGOs. The raisers increase the height you have to step, giving your legs more of a workout.

    • 3). Insert the Step Workout System DVD into the player. The workout DVD comes with the Step Workout System package and gives you a specially tailored workout made for the system.

    • 4). Follow the workout routine. The DVD has a small warm-up portion to slightly raise your heart rate. If you need to take a break, you can pause the DVD and rest for a few minutes. Keep a water bottle nearby. The video is about 50 minutes, so stay hydrated.

    • 5). Perform the cool-down and stretch at the end of the video. This is important to help prevent any discomfort later in the day. Skipping the stretching can cause you to tweak or pull a muscle later.
