How to Make a Wedding Ring Pillow
- 1). Purchase a small pillow form that will work well for the ring-bearer's hand size. A 9-inch by 9-inch square pillow form is generally a good size. However, you can choose whatever size you would like.
- 2). Cut two pieces of 10-inch by 10-inch satin material of your choosing. If you are using a pillow of a different size, simply cut the fabric pieces to be 1 inch larger than the form (for example, 7 inches by 7 inches for a 6-inch by 6-inch pillow form).
- 3). Place the 2 pieces of satin together so the wrong sides of fabric face outward. Sew 3 sides shut using a sewing machine. Turn the pillowcase inside out and insert the pillow form. Sew the remaining side closed by hand or by machine.
- 4). Cut a 1 1/2 yard length of wide satin ribbon. Wrap it around the pillow and tie it in a bow across the top of the pillow. Cut a short piece of narrow satin ribbon and sew onto the pillow in the center of the ribbon directly below the bow. This is where you will tie on the rings.
- 5). Add any decorative elements you would like, such as rhinestones, beads, additional bows, lace, silk flowers and feathers.
