How to Make Frozen Cookie Dough
- 1). Prepare the cookie dough as directed on the recipe. Add all of the suggested ingredients including toppings like chocolate chips, dried fruit or nuts.
- 2). Place the cookie dough into the refrigerator and allow it to chill for 1 to 2 hours. This will help stiffen the dough for easier handling.
- 3). Use clean hands to form the dough into a log shape. Once the shape has formed, roll the dough on the counter to smooth out ripples along the sides.
- 4). Wrap the dough log with two layers of plastic wrap to ensure it is well sealed. Place the dough into a plastic freezer bag. Use a permanent marker to write the type of cookie dough and the date prepared on the front of the bag. Most frozen cookie dough will last 4 to 6 weeks.
