Everyday I see business owners worried about getting new customers.
They waste all their budget and effort thinking of new ways to entice prospects.
If you are a brand new business, then this is of course understandable, but don't think for a second that you can't start building a database now.
In fact, you all should be building a customer database.
It will be a huge source of ongoing income for you.
Here are 5 new business ideas to get those customers back in the door and more money in your pocket.
  1. Send a direct mail campaign to your database.
The best way I've found to get those buyers back in the store is to offer a nice promotion on your products or services.
What's sells the most in your business? Offer a 20% discount to old customers for the next month.
Let them know that because you appreciate them so much for being a customer, you want to offer them this one time special.
  2. One of the best new business ideas to implement is creating a email campaign.
Email marketing is so effective it should be illegal.
It's the best way I know how to build trust with a customer.
Promotions and discounts are great for email campaigns as well.
Make sure to offer previous buyers a better promotion then those who haven't purchased from you.
They will love you for it.
  3. Host a free event.
Having a special event for previous customers can be very profitable.
You could do a number of fun and effective events.
Give a free seminar, have a customer appreciation picnic, whatever.
You will also grab the attention of lots of passing traffic too.
  4. Send a free gift.
Write a small book or report on something all your prospects and customers want to know.
Let's say you are a plumber.
You could write a quick report on 'The 10 Things You Must Know Before Hiring A Plumber".
Throughout the free gift have special promotion offers or coupons.
  5. Create a business to business relationship and let your old customers know about it.
Joint ventures are great way to advance your business with new customers, but can also be very effective with getting past buyers back.
Informing your database that you can offer them a 20% discount on your venture's products/services will grab their attention.
It will also show them how much you care for their needs.
Give each of these new business ideas a try and I bet your past customers will be flocking to your business.
I don't think you can ask for much more than low cost buyers.
