How to Mount a Brass Plate on a Plaque
- 1). Place the paper on a flat surface and lay the plaque on the paper.
- 2). Trace around the plaque with a pencil.
- 3). Cut around the perimeter of the paper on the trace lines.
- 4). Determine where to locate the plate on the paper template.
- 5). Calculate the horizontal center of the plaque by measuring it with the machinist's ruler, and then divide the measurement by two.
- 6). Mark the center measurement on the paper.
- 7). Mark the vertical center of the brass plate on the paper at the desired plate location.
- 8). Measure the dimensions of the brass plate and transfer them to the paper, using the center mark as a beginning reference.
- 9). Place the brass plate on the paper, aligning with the marks, and trace around it.

Cut the traced area out of the paper. - 1). Tape the paper template onto the plaque.
- 2). Remove the protective film from the plate adhesive and place it into the template cutout.
- 3). Remove the template.
