How to Make Armor From a Plastic Barrel
- 1). Select a plastic barrel that is long enough to reach from the base of the wearer's neck down to the thighs. On one side of the barrel, and about 2 inches below the top, draw a circle 6 inches in diameter. Draw another circle, exactly the same size, on the exact opposite side of the barrel.
- 2). Draw a circle, 12 inches in diameter, in the middle of the top of the barrel. You can make the circle smaller or larger depending on the size of the wearer's head.
- 3). Cut out the bottom of the barrel. Cut out the circles on the sides and top of the barrel. Discard the cut out portions.
- 4). Slice some foam into strips that are about 2 inches wide. Place these strips on the barrel along the edges of all the areas that you have just cut. Keep adding foam until you have enough to cover these edges.
- 5). Glue the foam to these edges. The foam will act as padding to protect the wearer from the rough edges of the armor. Slip the armor on over the head.
