No Human (Even You) Can Ignore Computer Skills In This E-Age

Every human loves the air of confidence and fulfillment of being able to stand on his own and help himself, with or without the help of others. That is what you feel when you can do these basic things on your own, even if you have staff or people who could do them for you, and those staff or persons respect you too because they know they can't hold you to ransom for anything. That is the position every person reading this column should put himself in. That is good for your ego, fulfillment, career, success, income, etc.

No matter your profession, status or standing, you need computer skills. In fact, even if you are a pensioner, you should acquire computer sills. With these skills, you will find an exciting part for the rest of your life. The rest of the life of a pensioner can be exciting. It is only in Africa that people retire to lonely, inactive, dull lives. In the West, it is not so. You find retirees starting a whole new exciting phase of life which would be richly rewarding. This is part of what computer skills can do for a pensioner.

You know something about the computer? It is just exciting; you can't exhaust the exciting, inspiring world of the different aspects of your own particular interest on the computer. This is what I mean: when you learn to use the computer, you will some particular aspects and skills more attractive and enjoyable to you than others. Those particular aspects and skills are your own interests, hobbies, whatever you call it. They are usually inexhaustible; you find yourself learning and learning new things, enjoying yourself on those particular areas of your interest.

Now, let's say you are a pensioner, politician, medical practitioner, businessman, student, or whatever, you can never know the exciting things in the computer until you start learning them. These exciting areas of life are part of the things you will miss by neglecting computer skills.

How about the internet? I could never exhaust the possibilities you stand to gain from that too. In fact, I can't even touch them here because they are so wide and inexhaustible, and they are relevant to every human being on earth, including you, except you don't like to add continual value to your life. Value is added to life by acquiring knowledge. As regards the internet, I'll still run some very exclusive and exciting series on the subject. Those series will be more useful to those who begin to acquire computer skills now with the information they are so far receiving here on this column. That's why they can't come now. But in due course, you'll begin to see them. They will blow your mind!

So, computer skills will give you fulfillment and enhancement for every (I mean every) aspect and stage of your life, and you would not want to trade this off for anything.

You know what? Life rewards those who take action, not those who take notes!
