How to Install Glued Bellawood
- 1). Measure the area of the room where the flooring will be installed and record the measurement of both the length and width of the area. Multiply the two together to get the total square footage. This will determine how many boxes of Bellawood flooring will be needed for installation.
- 2). Clean off the subfloor with a broom and dust pan. Sweep up the entire area and remove all visible dirt and debris from the surface. This can get in the way during the installation process if it is not removed.
- 3). Open up a bucket of flooring adhesive and stir up the mix with a notched trowel. Dip the notched trowel into the bucket and cover a small section on the floor beginning in any corner. Wipe an even layer of the adhesive over the subfloor until a small 2- by 2-foot section is covered.
- 4). Set the pieces of flooring down beginning in the corner. Press the first piece firmly into place and run your hands over the surface so it can adhere. Position it so the groove is facing out and the tongue side is against the wall. Slide the tongue of the second piece into the groove of the first and install it in the same manner. Continue until the entire area you applied glue to is covered.
- 5). Apply the glue adhesive to the next area in the same manner and install the flooring over that area. Continue the same process all the way around the room until the floor is completely covered with the Bellawood flooring.
