Becoming a Cleric

• 1). Start the game and create a new MapleStory character. Choose the "Adventurer" class.
  
  
• 2). Get your character to level 10 as you progress through Maple Island. As you level, your ability points are automatically assigned and added. For skills, max out "Three Snails" and then "Nimble Feet."
  
  
• 3). Go to the town of Ellinia on Victoria Island once you are level 10. Make your way to the topmost house and speak to Grendel the Really Old. Accept his offer and become a Magician.
  
  
• 4). Train to level 30 by killing monsters, completing quests and engaging in party quests (PQs). The best training spots for Magicians are Mushroom Forest (Levels 15 to 18), Pig Beach (18 to 21) and the Ant Tunnel (25 to 30). Henesys PQ and Kerning City PQ are two prime choices for low-leveled characters looking to level up quickly.
  
  
• 5). Allot your own ability points as you level up. Always make sure your "LUK" equals your level plus three, and put the bulk of your points into "INT."
  
  
• 6). Distribute your skill points. Put your first point into "Energy Bolt"--this will be your main attacking skill at first. Then, max out Improving "Max MP Increase," "Improving MP Recovery," "Magic Claw" and "Magic Guard" (in that order).
  
  
• 7). Return to Grendel the Really Old at level 30 and accept his second job quest. You will have to travel to a special map and collect black marbles from Horny Mushrooms and Curse Eyes. Once you have completed the quest, talk to Grendel the Really Old and choose "Cleric."
