How to Do a Timeless Peel at Home
- 1). Peel a pineapple. Measure 1 cup and pour it into a blender. Peel and remove the seeds of a papaya, placing 1/2 cup in the blender with the pineapple. Add 1 tbsp. of honey, and puree.
- 2). Pour the mixture into a bowl. Using your fingertips, layer the peel onto your face. Leave the mask to rest for 15 to 20 minutes.
- 3). Rinse the mask off with cool water. Try to let your skin air dry in order to not destroy the mantle; this is what causes acne. Apply your daily moisturizer to retain water in your skin.
- 1). Peel a small cucumber, cut it in half length-wise, scoop out the seeds and discard them. Puree the cucumber in a blender. Strain the juice, and set the juice aside for later.
- 2). Boil 1 cup of water and separate it into two mugs, with 1/2 cup in each. Immerse a chamomile tea bag in one mug and a green tea bag in the other. Cover and allow to steep for 10 minutes.
- 3). Combine one package of unflavored gelatin in a pot with 1/4 cup of the chamomile tea and 1/4 cup of the green tea. Simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin is dissolved completely. Add 1 tbsp. of aloe vera gel and the cucumber juice to the mixture, and stir. Remove from the stove and pour the liquid into a glass bowl or dish.
- 4). Place the glass bowl in the refrigerator for 25 to 30 minutes. The gelatin will set, but will still be slightly liquified. Apply the peel to your face with your fingertips or a makeup brush, avoiding your eyes and mouth. Let rest 20 minutes.
- 5). Peel the facial off from the bottom up when it is dry to the touch. Rinse with warm water; let your face air dry as to not disturb the mantle, and finish with your favorite moisturizer.
