How to Design a National Team Jersey
- 1). Look at pictures of team jerseys for various sports from magazines or the Internet. This gives you a basic idea of what a jersey should look like. Sports Illustrated, ESPN and Camelot Sports Media are examples of such magazines; whereas sites like YBA Shirts offer photos of different team jerseys
- 2). Sketch the outline of a jersey using a pencil tool from the tool bar. Decide on aspects of the jersey such as neckline, length of sleeves, collar and breast pocket. Use the eraser from the tool bar to make any alterations.
- 3). Select a color for the jerseys. Choose a base color then decide on another color to add contrast. It is advisable to use less number of colors, preferably two to three, because the more the colors there are the more expensive it is to print the jerseys. Try out different colors using the paint bucket to see if they go together.
- 4). Draw the image you want to use as a logo. It should be simple, timeless and memorable. It should represent something that the team relates to, for example, an eagle for superiority and strength.
- 5). Paste the logo on the image of the jersey. Locate it at a position that makes it visible to the fans, for example, on the chest or mid-back of the jersey.
- 6). Select a type format and write the additional details you want on the jersey; for example, name of sponsors, team name and player number.
- 7). Choose an online company that allows you to design your jersey and make an order. Fill in the information of the material of the jerseys, the quantity and the sizes required. Team Sports Wear and Logo Sports Wear are examples of companies that allow you to design your jersey online.
