Are You in Search of Strength?
Are you interested in learning about what it takes to build a super strong body? Are you in search of strength? If so then you have first got to understand what it takes in terms of your mind and body.
As a strength and conditioning professional I can tell you that in order to build a hard body you must have two things.
You must first harden the mind before you can harden the body and you must have a smart training program in place.
The Search For Strength! Mental Toughness If I have said this once I've said it a thousand times, "strength is the necessary trait to perform ANY task!" If you are looking at getting stronger you have got to mentally make it up in your mind that you are committed to the cause.
You have got to be patient and willing to learn and apply the principles of strength training to your workouts that will make your journey a successful one.
Even as a professional trainer people are sometimes shocked when I tell them it is not my job to motivate them.
True motivation comes from within.
I can't make you or anyone else engage in the proper behavior and practice of a certain healthy lifestyle.
This is something you have got to do on your own.
Secondly, I will say that for you to build true strength that you have got to be mentally tough.
Mental toughness is the first trait of a true strength building campaign.
Train Smart The other variable that is a key component in a successful strength and conditioning program is smart training.
In order for you to build a significant amount of lean muscle mass and fitness you have got to engage in lifts and exercises that are multi-joint in nature.
This means doing a set of pull ups instead of a single joint exercise such as bicep curls.
Multi-joint lifts are way more effective in helping you to build a super strong and super fit body.
This may not be what you so-called "like to do," but if you expect to see any reasonable results then get over it.
Some great ways to do this is to engage in kettlebell lifting, olympic lifting, and body weight drills.
This is a great way for you to initiate the necessary whole body movements that will trigger your nervous system to respond more effectively, thereby causing you a greater increase in strength and power.
Obtaining strength isn't easy, but having it makes everything else easier! If you haven't already started to include this type of training and mental change into your training program then get started.
