    • 1). Turn off the burner under the stuck-on pot, if it is on, and let the stove cool. Spray an aerosol lubricant, available at hardware and home improvement stores, around the stuck pot’s edges.

    • 2). Place a sharp razor blade or paint scraper underneath the pot with the blade as flat as possible against the glass top. Slowly move the blade back and forth around the pot.

    • 3). Spray lubricant around the pot’s edges again to break up the debris as you move the blade backward and forward. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until the pot is free from your glass top stove.

    • 4). Wipe the glass top with a soft, non-abrasive cloth or towel to remove any loose debris. Apply 2 to 3 tablespoons of a liquid cleaner designed for glass onto your stove’s burners. Let the cleaner sit on the glass until it dries.

    • 5). Rinse the razor blade or paint scraper under warm, running water, but do not dry the tool. Scrape the liquid cleaner off stovetop, using the razor blade or paint scraper with its blade as flat as possible against the glass top.

    • 6). Wet a clean, soft cloth or towel with warm, running water, and wring out the excess water. Wipe your glass top stove thoroughly with the wet cloth or towel. Dry your stovetop with a clean, dry cloth or towel.
