Hi I'm Kendra Richards, professional makeup artist. Today I'm going to show you how to get a soft, natural summer look. So the three things to remember for fresh, natural summer makeup are to use waterproof mascara, bronzer, and lip gloss. We're going to start with Juicy Tubes by Lancome in spring fling. I'm going to use the lip brush to get the best coverage, but you can just use it straight from the tube. This adds a great shine to the lip. It's perfect for summer and it looks great on everyone. This is a perfect color for everyone, because it's a soft peachy color that complements all skin tones. It's a great summer look that works on every skin tone. It enhances your lip color by giving it just a little warmth. And it's really glossy and adds beautiful shine to the face and it just brightens up the face in a very natural way. I love using glosses particularly in the summer because they add a great brightness to the mouth without adding a lot of pigment. It's just a fresh, natural, shiny glow to the face. It adds this glow to the face that is flattering really on everybody. This is the best product to use for a fresh natural look. You don't want to use a dark matte lipstick, or really even a lipstick at all. If you keep the look fresh by using a gloss that's sheer with a touch of color. It's perfect for the summer. So now that we've got gloss, the key to any summer look is bronzer. A few sweeps is all you need along the cheeks wherever the light hits the face. Little sweep on the forehead, little chin, and on the nose. This brightens up the face and has a perfect summer, fresh natural look. When you're applying bronzer, a great thing to remember is a W. Making a W along the face with the bronzer. So if you're ever concerned about placement, just make a W on your face like this. Super easy to remember, and it looks fresh and beautiful. So our next step is mascara. This brightens the face so easily and it's a critical step for a fresh, summer look. Apply it at the base of the lash, wiggling it up and do one coat on each eye. And you can use a waterproof formula eye shadow for extra staining power. In the summertime, it's a great option to choose waterproof mascara because it really stands up if your skin is sweating a little bit or if it's a little bit humid. Maybe you're participating in sports. Waterproof mascara is just a smart choice in the summer to make sure that your mascara stays put all day. So as you can see, this is a quick way to get a fresh, glowing, summer look. You don't want heavy makeup in the summer, you want something light and fresh and using mascara, bronzer, you don't want heavy makeup in the summer, you want something light and fresh.
