What Makes a Good Exercise Regime?

Finding the right exercise regime for you is always difficult.
Everyone has individual needs and targets they are looking for, but there are some general idea that will get you fit in a sustainable, but speedy way.
1) The first will be some sort of balance.
If you are looking for that "buffed beach" look then you will still need an all round exercise program, otherwise you might have great abs, or an upper body, to go with chicken legs.
You need a rounded sequence of drills to look naturally in shape.
2) A good exercise regime will balance rest and training periods.
You might want to get cracking and push yourself to the maximum, but it will do more harm than good.
When working on breaking down and rebuilding muscle the body rebuilds when asleep and at rest.
Too much exercise won't allow muscle to regenerate and come back stronger.
3) Working with weights - Weights can be a big part of any exercise regime.
Lifting fast and heavy is the correct way to get the most of out of your exercise regime.
You mimic natural movements the body does and it's also not good for the body to "train to failure", that is to take things to their breaking point.
It might feel like you are putting everything into your workout but it's not the most efficient way to either build muscle or feel better.
4) Variety - the technical term is "periodization.
" It means regular change to keep workouts both physically valuable and mentally stimulating, rather than grinding out the same routines.
You can expect to have changes every four weeks in a good exercise regime.
