How to Easily Create Slide Shows
- 1). Open Windows Media Player and maximize it.
- 2). Click the "Library" button at the top of the screen to display your media library. By default, Windows Media Player includes image files from common locations such as your "Pictures" folder.
- 3). Click the "Library" button again. A drop-down list will open and display categories such as "Music," "Video" and "Pictures."
- 4). Click the "Pictures" category. Windows Media Player will display thumbnail images of the pictures in your Library.
- 5). Double-click one of the pictures. Windows Media Player will start a slide show using the selected picture as the first slide. Slides will advance automatically.
- 1). Press "Ctrl+P." The slide show will pause. Press that key combination again to make it play again.
- 2). Press "Alt+Enter." The slide show will zoom into full screen mode. Press "Alt+Enter" again to return it to normal size. As the slide show plays, the name of the picture will appear on the bottom left corner of the screen.
- 3). Click the "Turn Repeat On" button. You can find this button at the bottom of Windows Media Player to the left of the "Play" button. Use the "Turn Repeat On" button when you want the slide show to loop through your pictures and play indefinitely.
- 4). Press "Ctrl+S" to stop the slide show. Click the "Library" button at the top of the screen to return to the Library.
- 1). Press "Ctrl+E." Your cursor will move to the "Search" box at the top of the Library screen.
- 2). Type the name of a picture that is on your hard drive. You can also type a tag such as "puppy" or "mountain." Windows Media Player will display thumbnail images that match your search word. Many photos that you download from the Web have embedded tags. For example, if you download a picture of a puppy, it may have a tag named "puppy." Experiment by typing different words into the "Search" box.
- 3). Press "F3." The "Add to Library" pop-up window will open.
- 4). Click "Add" to open the "Add Folder" window. Click a folder containing images that you want to add to the Library, and then click "OK" twice. Windows Media Player will add the folder's images to the Library.
- 5). Click the "Folders" icon on the left side of the screen to display a list of folders in your Library. The folder that you added will appear with the other folders.
- 6). Click one of the folders. Thumbnail images of the folder's pictures will appear.
- 7). Double-click one of the pictures. The slide show will begin again and display the pictures from selected folder.
- 8). Watch the slide show and press "Alt+P" when you are done.
