Windows Running Slow? A Few Tips to Help Speed Your Computer Up
It seems that no matter how fast your computer's hardware is and no matter how often you upgrade to faster components, the windows computer you are on eventually starts getting more and more sluggish and slow.
Eventually you start wondering if your new machine is actually moving slower than your old computer.
Many assume that the computer is just getting old and that explains the slower speed.
But actually the slow speed is due to what's called the windows registry.
Without getting too technical, the windows registry is a database that records all the installations of applications and settings on the computer.
As this file is written to over and over it tends to get larger in size and sometimes actually become corrupted.
When the registry is bloated and corrupted, the entire computer starts to react much slower.
There are two options at this point in time.
The first is to completely reinstall the entire operating system so that it's back to the way it started, fresh and fast.
I did this at least once a year thinking this was the only way to get the computer's speed back.
The other option is to use a registry cleaner.
This cleaner will shrink down the size of the registry and help fix any errors or corruptions that the registry has.
It's a great way of taking your slow windows machine and speeding it up again.
