- 1). Open Windows Media Encoder. Click the "New Session" option from the task bar.
- 2). Click "Convert a File." Select your file for conversion.
- 3). Choose your encoding options. This will allow you to choose an output type for your file. Lower quality files will be smaller in size.
- 4). Click "Finish." Hit "Start Encoding" to begin the conversion. Remain patient and do not interrupt your computer during this procedure.
