Stress and anxiety can cause a lot of havoc in your life if you do not learn to manage it.
Anxiety can be overwhelming and put stress on your work and personal relationships, and cause you to be less productive at work.
It can even make you reclusive and irritable.
You don't have to feel this way.
You don't have to let Work anxiety and stress take over your life.
There are quick and simple things you can do every day that will reduce the stress and help you to manage your anxiety.
Here are five great tips to help you overcome anxiety.
Relax! This may seem easier said than done, but if you really want to improve your life, you will relax.
Stretching your arms and legs a few times a day, deep breathing exercises, Concentrate on breathing through your nose slowly and evenly and then out the same way.
Not only will you find you can relax like this, you will be helping your vital organs get the oxygen they need to function properly.
This includes your brain.
Prioritize! Life is much too short to worry over every little thing.
Stop sweating the little things, and prioritize your daily tasks.
This will help make your work life more manageable.
You know which tasks are the most important to complete, so eliminate some of that Work anxiety by getting them done first.
If you need help, do not hesitate to ask.
Take a walk! When you start to feel anxiety coming on, take a quick 5 minute break from what you are doing and get some air.
Just step out and take in a few deep cleansing breaths (through your nose) and feel the anxiety melt away.
You should then be able to go back with a more clear head and complete your work.
Laugh! Laughter is one of the best ways to over some stress and anxiety.
Laughing is good for the soul, the mind and the body.
Lighten up a little and enjoy the day.
Allow yourself to laugh and give yourself a much needed break from Work anxiety.
Do one thing at a time! The human brain is amazing, but it is made to do one thing at a time.
Take on one task at a time and complete it before moving to the next one.
Work anxiety does include interruptions during your day.
Simply do not allow the interruptions and learn to say no or ask for help when you need it.
While you may feel anxiety is not affecting your life, it probably is.
You will not notice it until it is causing big problems.
Stop and pay attention to the things that are happening now in your life.
Once your put into force some kind of relaxation and stress relief plan, you will be more productive, healthier (anxiety can kill) and happier.
