Marble Tiles Care & Cleaning
- Dusting the marble tiles every few days with a dry cleaning rag or mop will remove loose dust. You can even sweep marble floor tiles with a broom or vacuum cleaner if small stones or other hard chunks of debris have accumulated on the tile.
- Fill a spray bottle with water, and add in an optional squirt of dish soap if the marble has moderate buildup. Spray the water onto the marble tiles and wipe off with a damp cleaning rag or damp cleaning mop. Remember to dry the marble tiles afterwards with a clean rag to prevent streaking.
- When necessary, spray a stone cleaner labeled safe for marble onto the surface. Wipe off with a damp cleaning rag and again dry with a fresh rag to prevent spots and streaks. Stone cleaner is designed to cut through heavier residue and leaves behind no film when dry.
- For marble counters and tables, use cutting boards, placemats and toiletry trays to prevent damage to your marble tile. For marble flooring, place floor mats and runners in high traffic areas and entryways to minimize wear to your marble tiles.
