How to Paint a Concrete Pool Area
- 1). Allow the concrete to age before you paint. If your patio area is new, allow the concrete to age at least one month before painting. Paint will peel off of freshly poured concrete.
- 2). Scrub the concrete with a muriatic acid solution. This will remove any residue that may prevent paint from adhering to the concrete.
- 3). Use a roller with a long-handled extension to paint the concrete. Use either paint specifically made for concrete or latex paint.
- 4). Allow the first coat of paint to dry and then go over the entire patio again with a second coat of paint.
