They left Sydney with that freedom feeling and got to see amazing places like New Castle, Byron bay...
They were now in Bowen and were starting to get on each other nerves! -Ok I reckon we should go to Cairns straight away and do the Whitsundays and Fraser Islands later on! We just can't afford to stay any longer in here! -Next week?!!! Are you kidding us? We are so fed up of you always taking the decisions for all of us! We are three for crying out loud Mae! You should have told us if you wanted to travel alone! The three girls were now in Cairns and were all working in the same restaurant but in different positions.
They were just back from work all tired when Mae decided that they should leave Cairns next week to go to Whitsundays! But according to Gwen and Sarah, they were definitely financially not ready for that! -I totally do agree with Gwen! You're not our mum you know! It's been a month now that we're stuck together which is already hard enough to add some heavy control issue on it! -Of course I am controlling you girls as I am the one who paid for the van in the first place! Without it you'll probably be still in Sydney! -Well believe me I wish so! -Then leave! Nobody is holding you back! -Fine! -Sarah I don't think my sister meant it! We all should discuss about this and try to find a compromise.

Sarah could not be happier as two weeks later, she met two fantastic french girls and got to spend the best time ever since she left Sydney! Indeed while Mae and Gwen took off to the South, she stayed in Cairns and got to do all the activities possible in there! Skydiving, Scuba diving, Hiking in the rain forest, sailing...
The girls were so easy going and relaxed that she even got to think she did the right thing by quitting her job in Sydney! Every week end from Friday, they were having dinner together then going out or staying at home and laughing like kids.
A month later, after visiting the east coast again, Sarah went down to Melbourne while the two french girls continue their road trip to the center of Australia! So far, Melbourne was definitely her favorite city in Australia! The culture was so present in there! She even have the feeling sometimes that she was in Europe! Feeling that she never had in Sydney! She got to discover so many cute places, parks, little streets...
Wandering in Melbourne was just amazing! Every single day, she was discovering something new! On top of that there were so many events going on! Sarah was simply happy! The simplest thing in life like meeting new people, taking the tramway, having some drinks at a coffee terrace were the best things ever! She was now definitely sure that she was meant to meet different people and see different places in Australia! And she won't change the past for a million dollar! Staying in Sydney would have probably gave her the opportunity to stay longer in Australia! Who knows? But would she have been as happy as today? Probably yes if she chose so! She got to learn that it is what you chose to make of your life that matters! Of course being human means always being dissatisfied but we all know that the best is the enemy of the good! She is healthy, happy and ready to fall in love! Cos of course a life without love is useless!:)
