Peanut Butter Ball Snacks

• 1). Lay a sheet of wax paper on the counter and use a measuring spoon to scoop 1/2 tsp. of sugar-free, low sodium peanut butter out of its container.
  
  
• 2). Tap the spoon on the wax paper to drop the peanut butter onto the paper. Form the peanut butter into a small ball with your fingers.
  
  
• 3). Repeat Steps 1 and 2 to make as many balls as you desire. Put up to 2 tbsps. of whole grain, unsweetened cereal in a sealed plastic bag. The amount you use will depend on how many treats you make.
  
  
• 4). Place the bag flat on the counter and roll a rolling pin over the cereal to crush it into small pieces. Be careful not to reduce the cereal to dust. Pour the crushed cereal in a flat dish or pan.
  
  
• 5). Roll the peanut butter balls, with your fingers, through the crushed cereal pieces to coat. Ensure the balls are coated thoroughly. Place the coated balls back on the wax paper.
  
  
• 6). Place one or two balls in your bird's dish or use whatever method you use to offer food to your pet.
  
  
• 7). Store the remaining balls in a tightly closed container in the refrigerator. Remove the desired amount of treats from the refrigerator and allow to warm to room temperature for approximately 10 to 15 minutes before serving to your bird.
