Chris Noth Signs on for the Sex and the City Movie
Aug 9, 2007 - New Line Cinema announced Sex and the City fan favorite Chris Noth will be reprising his role as Mr Big in Sex and the City: The Movie. The film version of the hit HBO series will be written and directed by the show's executive producer, Michael Patrick King.
New Line Cinema declined to reveal the storyline for the big screen adaptation. Series stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are all returning for the movie which is scheduled to begin production in September.
King, Parker, John Melfi, and Darren Star are producing the film.
In a press release announcing Noth's return, Michael Patrick King stated, "There is no need for funeral arrangements. I assure you that Mr. Big is a very ‘big’ part of the Sex and The City movie. While I have not spoken to him myself, Chris Noth assures me that Mr. Big is alive and well and ready to report to the set in September."
Sex and the City finished its six year run on HBO in 2004. Over the course of its run the comedy series won eight Golden Globes and seven Emmys.
