- 1). Download a free screen capture program such as Hypersnap, FRAPS or CamStudio to record your World of Warcraft game play.
- 2). Follow the automatic installation method of the screen capture program.
- 3). Open your screen capture software and press the record button.
- 4). Launch World of Warcraft, and begin playing the game. The most exciting World of Warcraft movies are of boss fights in high level instances (also called dungeons). Movies of an exciting new update or special event also make for interesting viewing.
- 5). Scroll down on your middle mouse wheel to zoom out. This create a more comprehensive view of the battle or event.
- 6). Minimize World of Warcraft and pause the screen capture software during the times when no action is occurring. For example, if you are waiting for a monster to appear, pause the screen capture to control the down time. Resume recording when the action is back on.
- 7). Type out why you are performing certain actions. For example, if you are mining gold ore to make sell on the auction house so you are able to buy weapon, type this out into the chat to explain to your viewer.
- 8). Save the footage in a convenient location on your computer.
