How to Get Your Postbox Toolbar Icons in Monochrome or Colors

In a world of discreetness that has applications try to put the document and content forward while their toolbars and icons stand back, you find Postbox to stick out a bit?

You can do more than reduce the toolbar to just icons (or replace these with text altogether); you can make the icons go black and white — still functional and recognizable, but a tad less brash.

Get Your Postbox Toolbar Icons in Monochrome or Colors

To change the Postbox toolbar to use gray icons:

  • Click on a toolbar with the right mouse button in Postbox.
    • On a Mac, you can also hold down Ctrl while clicking with the left (or sole) mouse button, or tap with two fingers on the trackpad while the mouse cursor is over the toolbar.
  • Make sure Monochrome Icons and Text or Monochrome Icons is selected under Show:.
  • Click Done.

To get colored toolbar icons, select Icons or Icons and Text under Show: above.

The setting for toolbar icons does not apply to the icons Postbox uses for email folders and accounts.
