It's always interesting to see readers' reviews of products I've reviewed for two reasons: To see how the consumers like these products, and to see how much my own reviews reflect buying trends. I've won some, such as my reviews of the Breeze Litter System, and lost some, such as my review of the original Panic Mouse, which my cats loved but my readers hated.

Goodlife Cat Food, a so-called "supermarket" brand of cat food, premiered with a great deal of fanfare. Since pet food stores are few and far-between in some areas, I welcomed the opportunity to test a supermarket brand when the factory rep offered to send me one.
Although my cats were immediately drawn to this new food, a close examination of the ingredients was disappointing. My subsequent rating was 2.5 on a scale of five.

I originally liked the theory around the use of blue "Lifesource Bits," which are cold-formed nutrients and antioxidants scattered throughout the food. Unfortunately, my cats carefully avoided the "Lifesource Bits," leaving a tidy pile of blue pieces at the bottom of the bowl. Because there is no "typical cat" when it comes to food preferences, other cats may love this food.

With its low carbohydrate - hi protein content, Evo is an excellent choice for kittens, obese cats, as well as cats with feline diabetes. Evo has also been used successfully for treating cats with Feline IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disorder) and for helping prevent the development of urinary struvite crystals found in FLUTD. (Its targeted pH level is around 6.2 to 6.4. Results will vary for individual cats.)

I was enthusiastic about the Breeze Litter Box System before I even tried it out. My only hesitation was that the pellets are large and hard (similar in size and shape to the original Feline Pine), and I thought my cats might object to them.
The trial with Jenny was so successful that I ordered a second box for the boys.
I had a feeling that the Breeze might generate love or hate reactions from readers' cats. You can judge for yourself.

My initial review was based on testing with my three neutered male cats, using the Comfort Zone Plugin. Since then, I have had good results using the Feliway spray, because of a combination of problems involving the introduction of a new (stray female) cat into our household. Our alpha cat, Jaspurr, took immediate exception to Jenny's presence. He attacked her, intimidated her, and sprayed her favorite areas (in the master bedroom, which she shares with me) with urine. After cleaning up the urine-sprayed areas, I liberally sprayed Feliway on those areas, as well as the door frame, and inside and outside the lower portion of the door. It worked! No more spraying, and much less fighting.

Since I had not tried any automated litter boxes, my review was based on comments from forum members. The resulting opinions varied widely, as did the performance of the LitterMaid Mega, depending on the brand of litter used. The consensus rounded out to three stars of a possible five. The User Rate & Reviews came in much lower, with an average of 2.1 stars out of five.

Like its predecessors, the Drinkwell 360 Pet Fountain seems to be universally loved by cats. However, human reaction varies. Personally, I found that the fountain started making sucking sounds about three weeks after we set it up. There was plenty of water in the reservoir and bowl, but it wasn't passing through the pump. Although it isn't terribly difficult to clean, it needs to be done regularly, or the fountain will not function at its top performance. Readers so far have scored a 3.5 star rating out of a possible 5 stars.

Like its predecessors, the Drinkwell 360 Pet Fountain seems to be universally loved by cats. However, human reaction varies.
