Let The Bookie Beware
Offshore bookies client bases have been growing ever since you started working with price per head services located in Costa Rica, right? These PPH companies have now made it possible for a local bookmaking agent to carry more players than ever before thanks to modern bookmaking software. Once a local guy starts working with a price per head service, he can, in effect, offer his players limitless wagering options being offered by major SportsBooks.
But, please, let the Bookie beware€¦€¦.
Not all PPH bookie services are created equal. There are some very good ones out there and there are some pretty bad ones also. It is up to you, the bookmaking agent, to do your homework and find the right one for you. These companies will charge you a per player, per week flat rate that will only be charged if that player places a wager during that week€¦. or places 100 wagers that week. It is still just one weekly fee. The thing to watch out for is when the price advertised seems way too low to be true. That's because it is. There is a real price per head cost to doing business and this is one of those cases that you really do get what you pay for. The price that you are quoted will depend in part on how many players you are working with.
Obviously, the more bettors you have, the lower the price per head fee can be. Typically, a new agent coming in with 10 to 20 players will be looking at a per week fee of around $20 per player, again, if they play. You will be able to find web sites out there that offer you much lower prices, teasers prices€¦..but watch out, they are not going to be there for you when push comes to shove. When your guys start calling you on Sunday morning that they can't get a call through or the web page is down, the $3-$4 that you saved will start to look like chump change to you. Just an hour or so of down time can quickly wipe out your profit margin for the week.
Do yourself a favor and pick yourself the highest quality price per head service that you can find. It will pay off for you in the long run. Good Luck!
