Spills On Flooring

• 1). Allow the spilled Wite-Out to dry completely.
  
  
• 2). Rub the dried Wite-Out off the floors with the edge of a coin, a rubber scraper or your fingernails.
  
  
• 3). Look at the product packaging to determine the cleaning method. Clean up water-based correction fluids with soapy water and a sponge; clean petroleum-based correction fluids with mineral spirits or citrus-based cleaners and a rag.
  
  
• 4). Scrub the flooring with the appropriate cleaning solution and a sponge or rag.
  
  

Spills On Carpeting

• 1). Dab up as much of the correction fluid as possible before it dries.
  
  
• 2). Look at the product packaging to determine the cleaning method. Clean up water-based correction fluids with soapy water, but clean petroleum-based correction fluids with mineral spirits or citrus-based cleaners.
  
  
• 3). Test the cleaner on the carpet in an inconspicuous location first, to ensure the cleaner doesn't damage the carpeting.
  
  
• 4). Scrub the carpet with the appropriate cleaning solution and a sponge or rag.
