How to Remove a Coffee Stain From a Cotton Shirt
- 1). Blot the shirt with dry paper towels to absorb excess coffee. Always use clean paper towels to prevent transferring coffee back onto the shirt.
- 2). Saturate a white cotton cloth with cold water. Blot the stain with the cloth to lift as much coffee from the fabric as possible. Always use a clean portion of the cloth to prevent reapplying coffee to the shirt.
- 3). Apply pre-treatment stain remover directly onto the remaining coffee stain. Use the amount of stain remover recommended on the product's label. Gently rub the stain remover into the fabric.
- 4). Launder the shirt in a clothes washer as instructed on the shirt's care label. Add oxygen bleach to the wash according to the manufacturer's directions.
- 5). Let the shirt thoroughly air dry.
- 6). Inspect the shirt for any remaining traces of coffee. Repeat the process if any coffee stains remain.
