Pima, Arizona Area Hotels
- Traditional hotels are difficult to find in the city of Pima, but the area offers several nearby choices for overnight stays. The community of Safford, which is less than 10 miles from Pima, offers the Best Western Desert Inn, Comfort Inn & Suites, Quality Inn & Suites, Budget Inn, Super 8, Days Inn and Econo Lodge. Many of these properties are found on West Thatcher Boulevard, which is a main highway in Safford.
- The town of Thatcher, which is located between Pima and Safford, also offers some hotel choices for travelers. Only five miles from Pima, Thatcher lodging options include the Spring Hill Suites by Marriott. The Spring Hill Suites is an all-suite property. Also found in Thatcher is the Paradise Inn & Suites. Thatcher offers easy access to Mount Graham Regional Medical Center and Eastern Arizona College.
- There are two bed & breakfast facilities in the area of Pima, Arizona. Olney House in Safford was built in 1890 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings. Olney House is a brick structure that provides an outstanding example of western colonial revival architecture. The community of Duncan, Arizona, which is within an hour's drive of Pima, is the home of the Simpson Hotel. The Simpson is known as a "green hotel" because it uses fresh and local foods and line-dries bed and bathroom linens.
- For the more adventuresome travelers, cabins provide an option. Roper Lake State Park offers eight cabins available for rental. The cabins are furnished in various ways, with bunk beds or full size standard beds. Each cabin can accommodate four to six people for overnight stays at a cost of $55 per cabin per night, as of January 2011. The park also offers overnight camping and RV options.
